A View From My Window…
The view from my window is quite fascinating, I dare say. There are all kinds of structures and thoughts attached to them. Most important of them all, are the buildings. Right there in front of me is a small house, with a little terrace. There are a few plants that bloom there but it is a sight to see during a nice thunderstorm, as the whole place looks like a domestic paddling pool. There is a pink and yellow structure. I really don’t know what it is myself, but according to the knowledge I gathered about it, it’s a reservoir of some kind. In front of that and behind the little house, there was once a beautiful kingdom of trees and plants, with a great ruler, the Gul Mohar tree, but now annexed by a buyer and fortifications are under construction. Exactly in front of my window, and attached to the little house, is a bamboo pole. Initially, everyday, a wood-pecker would come and peck heartily. Now, she has made a little hole and comes every day, gets inside and poking her little head out of the hole, looks left and right and right and left. Quite at a distance, is a patch of sturdy trees. The nearest of them all is a mighty mango tree. Such is the height of it that, during a rainfall, it sways as though it may break and fall and minute. To this picturesque view, the green creeper growing alongside my window, provides a frame. My thoughts related to this view keep on changing with the time of the day. At night, the whole scene seems extremely gloomy and scary. The building under construction and the huge trees look like two huge monsters whereas the little house and reservoir look like their weapons. The creeper looks like a creepy hand, gripping me from running away. In the afternoon, there seems to be heat waves rising from the surfaces and leaves droop as though their friend, water, has had a conflict with them. Best is in the morning.
