ESSAY

My name is Stella. I have been learning English since I was in the 4th class of elementary school, so it’s 10 years now. When I was in elementary school, I learned English from school, and I also take course in ELTI at Carolus Salemba. Then, when I was in junior high, I went to LIA, so I moved from ELTI to LIA. Then when I was in senior high school I took TOEFL class in my school, in Santa Ursula. Beside that, after the second year of senior high, I stop my course at LIA just in intermediate grade. It was because I planed to take TOEFL’s course, but I change my mind, so I don’t have any English Course until now. Beside from school, my parents and cousin also help me in learning English. From them, I learn how to speak English bravely, although what I’ve said is still incorrect. I also used the Alfa link dictionary to help me find the difficult word or new vocabulary. I often use the Alfa link because it is really practical and it’s easy to bring the Alfa link everywhere.
The reason why I think my parents and cousin help me learn English a lot is because they are often ask me to try to speak English when I was at home. And my cousin always suggests me to find the English article every times I search some articles to support my report or my assignment. So I think their contribution is pretty useful for me.
My difficulties in learning English are: I still don’t really understand about the grammar and structure, when I write an essay like this, or when I write a paragraph, there’s always a mistake that I made. And when I do the TOEFL’S test, the structure part is the part that I made so many mistakes. Beside the grammar and structure, I also have difficulties to speak English in front of the audience. It seems so difficult for me to arrange the word in English then to say it in front of many people.
Up until now, I still cannot find the way to overcome my difficulties in English.
