bands such as X band, K band, Ku band etc. The earliest is the X band which operates at a

X Band radar works between frequencies 8.0 to 12.0 GHz and wavelengths 2.5 cm to 4 cm
enabling it to detect smaller particles and objects. X Band radars are used by police to
detect the speed of trespassing vehicles, studies on cloud development and Doppler on
Wheels (DOW).
