As being tasked to help in the design and implementation of a Remote Access Structure at 9-Iron Country club. It is important to me to ensure that one, we know what the ultimate goal is, which is to create a system that allows remote access, as well as gives the proper structure for employees and management alike. First and foremost this whole design is intended more so for the management and investors of 9-iron country club, however will be of use to regular employees as well. After speaking with Mr. Domore, One of the biggest things that seems to be of great concern is not having the ability to work from home, and this can be especially frustrating when there is inclimate weather, and other sorts of reasons for not being able to be in the office to address the issues.
After reviewing the requirements and needs of 9-Iron country club, I am proposing that we implement a VPN Network within 9-iron country club. Now this wouldn’t be for all employees, this would be for senior management, as well as any investors that would need the remote access into the network. The reason why I say VPN, is because of how secure that VPN is, as well as you can always add-on more security measures such as an RSA Token Key. This will ensure that data is protected from outside sources, it gives the senior management the ability to work from home as needed, and gives security measures that are proven to work in much larger scale operations.
The reason why we don’t need to give regular employees of 9-iron country club remote access, is because they aren’t doing anything that is deemed necessary to have remote access. Remote Access via VPN, is good for senior level management, becuase if they need to remote in, you don’t have to wait for them to get in their cars to drive to the country club, they can address any situation whenever and wherever they happen to be at the time.
