Altima Verses Ford
I own two vehicles both and altima coupe and a ford explorer. I enjoy both of my vehicles, but both vehicles differ in many different ways. For example, I can get better gas mileage out of one then the other; one provides me more room then the other as well. Both vehicles can provide me with something I need when I need to travel to different locations.
The altima is great on gas, I sometime take trips from Virginia to New York and I only have to fill my tank one time, it’s great. I also enjoy the altima on long trips to New York because it is much faster then my ford. I can get in and out of traffic without a problem. The take off on the car is great and I also have a Bose system in the altima, which provides me with great sound quality when driving. I can listen to all of my tunes in great base and I love it. For example, in the article written by Bruce Hotchkiss (2010), he states that “The star of the Altima is the 4-cylinder engine and CVT. I do not know how Nissan does it but just about every Nissan I have driven recently returned fuel economy at least equal to its rating; some much better. The Altima Coupe is rated at 32-mpg highway and 23-city; my average with a decidedly highway bias was a shade over 30-mpg” (p.1). This statement is a prime example of what I say is better gas mileage then the ford explorer has. Better gas mileage allows me to safe money in my pocket, and not spends so much of my money on gas.
Even though the altima provides me with all of those things there is a down fall to the altima as well. Back when it was just me and my wife taking trips, it was easy and it was ok. Now that we have a daughter now, things have changed. It makes it very hard for us to drive the altima now because when have a car seat and baby bags and strollers that we have to bring with us. Not to mention we also have a big travel play pen that we have to bring...
