Taking the Risk
Mark Zuckerberg once said, “The biggest risk is not taking any risk. In a world that is changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking any risks”. When it comes to the American Dream, most people always come to a point in their lives when they have to decide whether they will take the risk of chasing their dream or settle for less. For the dreamers who decided to risk it, they realized that settling for less and being average was not an option for them. They would rather die trying to make their mark in history than to just fit in with the crowd. It is this extreme amount of motivation that separated them from the rest. They used this incredible motivation to chase their dreams, make it to the top, and never settle for less.
When it comes to chasing the American Dream, everybody starts in the same fashion. At some point in their life, everyone will realize what their true talent is for them. When the talent is realized, it usually is not long till the dream is realized as well. Unfortunately, talent alone is not enough for anyone to make it to the top. For real success, talent must be accompanied by unquestionable motivation. This motivation cannot be taught to anybody. It is simply something that a person either has or does not have. With this in mind, Mark Zuckerberg had extreme motivation from the start of his life till the end. He realized early on that he had an amazing talent with his immense passion for computer programming and coding. During his early years at Harvard University, he realized quickly how the world was so fascinated with social networking and he made it his dream to have the largest social networking site in history. At this moment, he took major steps to go against what many people viewed as the ultimate American Dream.
