“Why animal testing is not the best”
Animal testing is a major reason a lot of animals suffer nowadays. Many people believe
that animal testing is the solution to our research but the truth is is beyond it. There are many
issues when it comes to animal testing that a lot of people don't understand. There are many
alternatives to animal testing and the problem should be taken action on because animal testing
is wrong in many ways and cruel.
Animal testing is when procedures are done to living animals for “research” to see the
effectiveness of a new experiments or medical products. Some animals are killed during these
experiments or after and some are reused, this is cruel. Animal testing is not correct and is cruel.
One of the reasons animal testing is bad is because is not 100% accurate and not reliable for
human use. Many drugs that are tested on animals do not react the same way as they would on
humans. Humans and animals have different type of cells different system and organ structures,
this all affects the reaction an animal may to a drug that could affect a person. It is unreliable to
say that i worked on the animal it will work on the person.(“Alternatives to animal tests” 1)
Animals and humans also have different gene function which affects how any drug will affect
the system. Certain drugs can be poisonous to animals so therefore the drug is limited to test.
For example penicillin is poisonous for guinea pigs as aspirin to cats. This is why the usage of
drugs is not a reliable source for human use.
Animal testing is also one of the highest cost testing is very expensive. Most recent data
explains how the national health institute spent over 14.5 billion a year on a imla testing
(Bastasch 1). This money could have helped with health insurance with many jobs and new
