Annotated bibliograpy on comparing NSA to other countries

Surveillance is becoming a natural way of life among governments around the nation. We have seen time and time again historically with the dangers associated with surveillance. The current leaks by NSA contractor Edward Snowden and many other whistle blowers have brought many privacy and social issues to the forefront of politics. I feel that we need to analyze the impact these types of programs have on the rest of the world. What is the Impact surveillance of citizens on society? What are the surveillance programs guidelines and restrictions in France, Great Britain and Spain? What are the harms associated with surveillance? These are all things I feel must be researched in order to gain a better perspective of our surveillance programs and how they compare to other super powers.
