“Egyptian Art”
Egypt was one of the recognized art through out the history cause of the style and reasons on having that kind of artstyle. Amazingly, some of the things we knew about egyptian art or the egypt itself Isn’t actually true. Let’s find it out.
“ The time when Egyptians take over”
Even though Mesopotamia started the civilization craze, Egypt has a civilization that they depended the Nile River, Which lasted for 30,000 years.
When someone became a new Pharaoh, he noticed that the pyramids are getting old, including Cleopatra. So the Egyptologists invented a new system to identify the periods of Egyptian Rule.The OLD KINGDOM, MIDDLE KINGDOM, NEW KINGDOM, And The LATE KINGDOM.
It was interesting that all those 30,000 years the art of the pyramids never really changed much on all those periods but the people were satisfied with it.
“The Art of Egyptians”
The purpose of their art was actually NOT for the living. It was for the sacred living gods or a.k.a “ Pharaohs” to serve them with art. They used it as a record time keeper on how their history was made by carving the history on the walls, also known as “Hieroglyphics”. And some on showing who rules this kingdom by designing the coffins and pyramids to keep the corpse of their gods.
Well, moving on at the purpose of their art. We’ll go back on the egyptian people on having their system period of the Egyptian rule.
While people were satisfied with it some people aren’t, and that’s how the “Armana period” came.The Pharaoh, Ahkenaten showed a new style,and a new religion. Suddenly the bodies were stretched, the bodies have seamed lines, and also the crook and flail were seen frequently.Or in short, “Thin is the new style”.
“Change of style”
Later on, Ahkenaten has passed away the style that he introduced vanished along with him and revrted it back to the old way.But that doesn’t mean that egyptians weren’t creative, They drew intersting gods such as lion headed goddesses,Hawk headed...
