Ayrton Senna, a formula one legend. The name of this book is “Ayrton Senna a Tribute” and it is an autobiography written by Ivan Rendall with a foreword by Stirling Moss. I only heard about the Ayrton Senna who was killed because of the terrible crash, I didn’t know his life beforehand and that was what inspired me to read this book. This book is a tribute to Ayrton Senna and his life as a formula one driver. It describes his journey to becoming a world renowned Formula One driver.
Ayrton was Brazilian who was born on March 21, 1960 and he was the second child of his family. He was born into a wealthy family. He enjoyed karts from an extremely early age and he got his first title when he was only 13 years old and the titles kept on coming one after the other. It was not long before he progressed from the rookie stages to Formula One, the pinnacle of motor-sport. Whenever Ayrton stepped onto the racetrack, he was determined to do his best. When he was in his karting ages and other people passed him with ease, he set out to practice for hours on end. He said "I felt my ridiculous about my race. Everybody passed me easily right and left, and at the braking and cornering. Since that day, I imposed myself to beat my weakness. Once raining, I took my machine outside and continued to practice and practice for many hours in parking space near my house. Unless I was satisfied with my drive how I ran the kart, I could not help running. The rain soaked my body and paralysed my hands on the steering wheel. But as long as I was not able to overcome its situation I had to run, run, and run." Because of his hard work and determination, he was invincible in the wet and he was even described as a superhuman by his fellow competitors. Senna could overtake from any position on the track and he never accepted second as a good result.
