In this discursive essay the topic which I have chosen to discuss is the benefits issue present in today’s society. My reason for choosing a topic such as this is because after a vast amount of the UK populations tuned into channel 4 to watch a well documented TV show on the topic made me think about the pros and cons of the UK government distribution of benefits in the UK. I will discuss my reasons for being for and also against benefits and I will also discuss where I feel the issues lie in the governments overspend when it comes to the benefits system.
In the UK there are a fast number of the population claiming state benefits, it is believed it is in the region of 1.4 million claiming jobseekers allowance and 2.6 million on employment support allowance and for a long time it has been an on going issue for all of the UK. Although benefits offer a support, parent s are finding it harder to make ends meets as the government keep making cuts to their benefits, so they struggle more now with less money.
My second reason for benefits is for the people that receive jobseekers allowance. I am for the jobseekers system as it is a method of supporting the populations that is unemployed by giving them a cost of living while assisting them in trying to find work in a way jobseekers receive financial support and also guidance to fine the right and suitable job for the to financially support them on a larger in come and also results on the relying on themselves rather than...
