The boy in striped pajamas
The book that I read for my project was “The Boy in Striped Pajamas” by John Boyne. The Boy in Striped Pajamas was a historical fiction book and its copyright date was 2006. The story ends with Bruno about to leave his new home so that he can be raised in a better environment. So, as a last adventure, Bruno plans to find Shmuel’s recently missing father. Shmuel finds a pair of striped pajamas for Bruno and they go off the next day to find him. Unfortunately, after about an hour and a half of looking, they cannot find him. Bruno wants to leave, but the Nazis force them to stay. The two march along with the crowd into a room that’s warm and sealed off; with no rain. Finally, the story ends with Bruno and Shmuel holding hands. It...
