Effects of the Gas Price
In our society, there are many different features the world has to offer. One of these features is a delivery service which is a part of life. For example, a pharmacy delivers a person’s medication to their home or a pizza parlor delivers a pizza. People do not have to leave their homes to pick up medication or a meal. They can stay home while their everyday necessities can be brought to them. Many issues go into a delivery service with one of these issues being the rising price of gasoline. At times, businesses that deliver need to charge a certain amount such as delivery cost or shipping and handling which could lead to higher delivery charges. There are many companies that have to limit their deliveries to certain areas. Therefore, our company will create a project to show the effects of gas prices. The project will give us the conclusions we need to determine our predictions. In the process of constructing the project through our predictions, the paper will show how gas prices effects delivery companies throughout the years.
Many people have found ways to receive packages without even leaving their house. One of these ways is from a delivery service. Delivery service companies have been part of our life for many years. Each day, someone is receiving a package from a delivery company for their home or business. Few people think about what it takes to bring that package and all the costs the company has to deal with. One of the costs a delivery company deals with is gasoline. “The florist raised delivery fees by $1 in February because of rising gasoline prices, but that wasn't enough to offset its losses” (Walker, 2005). Gasoline prices are the main cost a delivery service has and it is the most costly. Gasoline prices affect Americans on a daily basis and have been rising ever since gas was advertised.
