Thinking and Decision-making Paper
The world consists of various types of thinking styles, which affect how people make a decision. In considering these thinking styles, it is imperative that a person considers the correct style to implement in making the best decision. After much contemplation, this decision is not biased, as the person thinks out of the box or looks at situations differently and considers all available options for his final resolution. Of many thinking styles, three are crucial to a thinker in making such a decision: (1). creative, (2). logical, and (3). persuasive thinking. It is these three thinking styles that will assist people to obtain a solution to his or her problem---whether it is a personal problem or a professional problem. In our Learning Team member’s C assignment, we will discuss the following four issues in our Thinking and Decision-making Paper: (1). analyze the three different types of thinking styles, (2). compare and contrast the three different types of thinking, (3). comment on how the three different types of thinking affects the critical-thinking process, and (4). apply critical thinking to the decision-making process by discussing workplace examples that highlight each of the three different types of thinking examined in our paper.
The first issue of relevance is to analyze the three different types of thinking styles. The three different types of thinking styles to elaborate on are (1). creative thinking, (2). logical thinking, and (3). persuasive thinking. First, creative thinking is essential to critical thinking.
