College can be difficult for some students. To support this idea, there are a lot of cases that students dropping out from colleges or being expelled. There are causes that lead to this issue. Most of the students who perform badly in classroom contribute to this issue and there are reasons why this is happening. The reasons are, students who are not paying attention in class or they did not focus, they are too tired, have no interest in the subject, lack of communication skills, and the students did not understand the teaching technique used by the lecturers.
Firstly, being a student comes with a big responsibility. They have to always maintain their performances and keep on focusing in classes. Sadly, not all of the students manage to be a responsible student. Many of them loose their focus. Small things can distract them from focusing. For examples, their love problems, family and friends problem, busy with hand phone during classes, doing other things like outstanding homework while the lecturer is teaching, and they even get distracted by day dreaming. The students know that this should not be happening in classes but they have failed to overcome the situation. Their body is in the class but not the mind. They are aware that by not staying on track, it can affect their performances in classes and their grades. When the students are not paying attention, they tend to miss the important points of the lectures. By not following the lessons, they started to distract other students. The students will make lots of noise and disturb the class. These cases happened in so many classes and they give bad influence and reputation to the class, lecturers and their friends. As known, class is the low keys place to study, it is not a night market and the students should remain silent while the lecturer is lecturing. Paying attention and focusing in classes is the main policy. It is either giving the attention or leaving the class.
