The three events chosen displaying Elli's leadership qualities are when the group first realise that noone is around, when Elli blows up the soldiers with the lawnmower and the rescue of Lee.

'Rack off guys! I’ll never get this done. I haven't got a clue where to start and I can't concentrate with all this noise.' this was one of the first lines written by Elli that caught my eye. From those few words we become aware that under pressure Elli may find it hard to overcome complication.

The first event I chose Demonstrating Elli's leadership qualities was when the group first came home after the camping trip. As they come to realize that no one is in town with them they start to worry. With the world gone mad Elli gains all the pressure as she has become the groups pathfinder' I tried to keep my voice steady' she said. From what she has just said we can see that she is aware that because she is portrayed as the leader she must try to act like one and keep her emotions to her self to discontinue further mayhem. This shows she us up for the role and she has the guts and self-discipline to put it into practice.

Unfortunately Elli's plan to stay strong for her friends backfires resulting in an aggressive quarrel about what has happened and only later on does she realize that she should not have said anything and just kept her mouth closed. This portrays Elli as emotionally weak, which is not good if she wants to keep her status.

In the event where they have come to terms that their parents and town peoples have been captured and held hostage by enemy soldiers Elli shows great amounts of courage and personal growth, which has helped her advance as a guide. “That was the first moment at which I started to realize what true courage was.''

Realizing that they are under attack is a big test for Elli to show that she can overcome being under pressure to lead her friends to safety. Its here, at this point that it won’t be easy from now on and that she must be...
