McBride Financial Services IT Security Proposal
McBride Financial Services Company is a provider of low cost Mortgage Services. The company is a new start up company and is based in Boise, Idaho. There are plans to have satellite offices located in Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The company will offer mortgage products to Professionals, and Retirees, for their primary home purchases, and will also offer mortgages to Families and Individuals who are purchasing recreational properties. McBride will offer Credit Report, Home Inspection, Appraisal and a Mortgage for a fixed price of $1500.
Based on a discussion between McBride Financial Services and Smith Consulting, which occurred on January 15th, 2008, Smith Consulting Services has been requested to provide McBride Financial services with a high level response, and a general design overview for the IT hardware, software, and Information Technology Security infrastructure required to implement and support McBride’s proposed Mortgage Lending Business at eight branch locations. This proposal addresses Hugh McBride’s questions and concerns regarding Physical Branch Layout and IT Security, Customer Kiosk and PC Computing Platforms, Application and Database Design, Application Security, Network Infrastructure, Security and Branch Connectivity, IT and Data Security, Business Continuity Planning including Backup and Failover, Disaster Recovery Planning, and corporate communications. As this is a high level preliminary proposal, all recommendations are tentative, and are subject to additional review and approval during the formal Technical Design stage of this project.
