Did you know 1.2 million children are trafficked worldwide every year? Trafficking is dangerous and illegal. Trafficking is when children are traded across the world for money. Basically, trafficking can relate to slavery, very similar. Eastern Europe is in the Eastern hemisphere of the world. Eastern European children are still being trafficked yearly. Child Trafficking is illegal, cruel and should be put to an end immediately.
Trafficking became and epidemic when more countries got involved following the wealthier countries. Bringing in trafficking to your country can leave a reputation that can scar the nation forever. The history of child trafficking is not an excellent one but some how has managed to still succeed for all this time and cause so much pain without the government getting involved. 200,000 individuals are trafficked annually from Eastern Europe. The money you can gain from trafficking is a lot. You can get up to $15,000 for a girl being trafficked from Europe to Italy. If that girl were a virgin the buyer would then pay you an extra costs of $10,000. 30% to 35% of all sex workers are at the age between 12-17. In Lithuania, 20% to 50% of prostitutes are minors as young as 11 years old. Special undercover find survivors and get as much information as they can to help stop this horrific crime. Child trafficking is lucrative and is involved with criminal activity and corruption.
One Reason why child trafficking should be stopped is because it is against a human being’s will. It’s similar to slavery as I mentioned above. They force children to do things they don’t want to do, such as being a sex slave. “International federation of Terre Des Homes estimates that 6,000 children between the ages of 12-16 are trafficked from Eastern Europe each year, with more than 650 being forced to work as sex slaves in Italy” (Unicef).
Another reason child trafficking should be stopped is because children are being forced to become soldiers as young as 11 years...
