Complex Project

Abstract
‘Cultural Change for the Department of Accommodation’ this complex project was to recommend the Department of Accommodation with feasible solutions, to address problems, which are faced by the organisation. As a team we had compiled a report that provided ways in which the Department of Accommodation could implement different tools, which would assist with integration of the knowledge, system and processes amongst the regions.
This project would be considered a Directional complex project due to the ambiguous goals which where unclear in direction of where our project team should be heading to arrive at a solution that could be recommended to the client.
The challenges presented by the project were the unclear direction in which the project team should be heading in to solve the challenges. The regions distinct un-cooperation between each other was another key challenge that was posing problems on suggestion that could be implemented and the unwillingness of the employees to want to change their work processes, so that there was a more coherent ethic, amongst the regions.

Completing this workshop complex project on the Department of Accommodation I was able to gain an understanding of the ways in which a complex project can be managed. These ideas and knowledge gained would allow me to use it in future projects.

Introduction
