In a virtual meeting, how can you ensure a group is communicating effectively?
In a virtual meeting in order for the group to communicate effectively there must be one neutral person who can be considered the mediator. Each team member should have any prior questions and concerns written down to maximize the time allotted for the team meeting. Everyone should give each team member a chance to speak and not talk over them because everyone has to have their time to participate in the discussion. If each person allows each thought to be processed a lot will be learned and a lot can be accomplished. Communication is the driving force behind an effective team.
How can you ensure that each team member understands what the next steps are required to achieve the meeting goals?
The way that I can make sure each team member understands what to do next is to first ask questions about them because I want to know somethings about each team member. After asking questions about themselves I can ask them if they have ever done this before and ask them if there is anything that they need help with. I would personally contact each team member after the meeting (individually) and ask them if they understand what their role and assignments are altogether. I...
