In America why do the majority of marriages end in divorce? This has been a problem for a long time not just recent evaluations. Divorce is a hurtful and emotional situation for anyone to go through, but in today’s society it happens quit frequently. What should married adults do to work onto keeping their marriage from breaking apart? These answers seem quit simple but in reality sometimes very hard to save a marriage. In America divorce is caused by many common reasons.
There are several immediate causes for divorce in America today. One of which is adultery. If one of the significant others are still communicating with their previous relationship partner, this may cause trust and monogamous concerns. If the partners are not happy in the relationship there can be a lot of stress issues and arguments causing the relationship to have down falls. There are some cases where married couples want to convert to an open relationship. Open relationships in marriages may cause negative results if one partner decides they are not comfortable with the results that the open relationship embraces. Another issue for marriages is that one partner decides that they are in need or wanting other sexual desires that their current spouse may not be able to achieve or be able to perform. Abuse and violence becomes a cause of short-lived marriages because there are some circumstances such as drug and alcohol dependencies which lead to anger issues. In some situations there are verbal, emotional, and physical abuse that can cause extreme distress to the partners involved. In other marriages there can be a lack of communication skills which a well-developed marriage needs in order to succeed. This can be caused by difference of opinions in in everyday day life experiences, which may cause stress. If couples are not able to talk or communicate with each other in a calm manner the issues that may occur may never be solved.
