Due to the increase in the cost of many necessities and luxuries many more students are getting more after school jobs and many that already had them are working longer shifts. The morality of whether students should work long hours after school is very controversial and debatable. I think that an after school job is very beneficial to students. It will make the student work more qualified for future positions. An after school job will make the student stand out when applying for a new one in the future.
Another advantage of having an extra curricular job is it creates a sense or self worth and independence. When a person earns his or her own money they are less dependent on others and in this fashion create more responsibility also. Also, with the extra funds they are able to pay for many of their own necessities such as fuel and personal things. They are also able to enjoy many more luxuries. This creates a better sense of freedom.
