Should we tell the whole story? That is the question many have asked. For me, I believe we should strive for the whole story. By obtaining the whole story, we can get better knowledge about the story and gain what personal development they got. I truly believe in gaining the whole story. I will show you from my personal experience what happen.
When I started going to college, I was stress out by all of the changes of going to collage as a new freshman. My mother saw that I was clearly stressed out by this and asked me what was wrong. I quickly replied “I feel stressed out by going to VCU.” My mother thought the best way to help me is to tell the whole story of my uncle Mario on how he survived on coming to America from Mexico.
Mario was on a taxi to go to the airport. The taxi driver asked him where he is going. Mario said “I’m going to America to become someone”. The driver decide to tell him something. “Hey man listen, I going to tell some advice.” “After every hardship you face, whether it’s an emotional, mental, or physical, once you beat it, there’s the gold.” The taxi arrived at the airport and Mario left from America.
Mario ended up in Dalton Georgia. There he began working at random jobs, trying to start something. He would just make barely enough for the rent and food. After a while, a man from a company called Mohawk hired him. Mario started working there and he soon be going up job latter. In a few years, he became a corporal manager. Mario was able to enjoy his life after his long struggle and hardships. Give him a few more years and now he has his own house, car, family, and even his own business.
What I learn from that story is that I must try my hardest to beat my stress. I was inspire to become a stronger person. I thanked my mother and I went to VCU. I notice that I felt more confident when I go to VCU. I will always remember what my uncle Mario did to be where he is now as a reminder to why is should be strong.
I believe that...
