A organization however great it is,however magnificient, however magnanimous it is, is unefficient and unorganized without a good leader. I, having been a student of a prominent college, was actively involved in co-curricular activities, which nourished me to accumulate this leadership quality. This means that I have a motivation toward teamwork and wanting everyone to strive toward common goals. In addition, I like seeing fellow workers grow and develop into successful employees. I am considered a self starter with the ability to encourage others through patience. I also can be too patient on workers whose performance may lag. Therefore, some of my judgments could be affected by becoming emotionally involved in situations.
As a leader has the capability of improving productivity, lack of productivity costs money affecting job security. Therefore, items like improving the productivity of workers, improving customer service, maintaining production quality and employee morale will have positive results on business goals. An effective leader in reference to productivity is grasping and documenting the baseline or current levels of productivity. This can be achieved by observing employees, asking for feedback, and reviewing performance reporting of workers. In addition, I must consider the employees, his or her job processes, and technology in facility as well as working environment that may be affecting productivity. My role as a leader would be a good communicator, documenting team goals and company expectations, as well as outlining the desired future state of performance.
One key quality in me as a leader is motivating others through teamwork. A situation that can arise from this trait is experiencing the urge to demonstrate the job instead of giving supportive direction.
