1. After reading first chapter , I started to think of what art really means. I think that everyone has different definition for art.
Some believe that anything and everything in the world is art , while others believe that it takes talent , creativity etc.What do you thing about meaning of art ??????

Chapter 1 after reading the first two chapters I feel like I am becoming more educated about the subject of art. Throughout the reading I found many interesting facts about famous artist and their work. However the fact that I found to be the most interesting is that everyone has it's own perception of art. In many instances we do not see with our eyes, but brains. I think it is true, because by looking at other people I see that sometimes they have different percepions of painting, or other art works.
2. Charter 2 This other chapters have been very intersting too me. It's great being able to approach the history of art, not only on a chronological manner but also by theme and cultural aspects.
One of the pieces of art discussed on Chapter Three that cought my attention and always does, is Guernica, by Pablo Picasso. He is actually one of my favorite artists. When I studied this master piece in my Perspective in the Humanities class, I really didnt' understand its meaning, but know that I see the story behing this piece, it's amazing to see how Picasso captured the pain and grieve of the people of Guernica, Spain.
To understand it, you have to examine piece by piece of this amazing work of art and then you will be able to understand it as a whole.
3. In this week’s reading, concerning the Themes of Art Chapter 3, I absolutely loved the Art and Nature section. I was especially intrigued by Thomas Cole’s painting although it took me a bit to locate his umbrella, knapsack and the artist himself. I believe I have seen this painting in New York and one absolutely gets the impression they are standing behind the artist on a cliff...
