Prostrations
to
Guru
You
have
probably
heard
the
song
Guru
Mahima
Apaar
Mahima
Guru
Mahima
Kim
Vachaniyam
Guru
Mahima.
Anoraniyan
Guru
Mahima.
The
question
is
what
is
Guru
Mahima?
It
is
the
glory
and
greatness
of
guru.
Those
people
who
do
not
have
any
guru
or
do
not
know
any
greatness
of
guru,
they
always
think
that
the
devotees
and
disciples
are
unnecessarily
exaggerating.
Sometimes
they
think
that
the
guru
themselves
are
also
exaggerating
in
an
attempt
to
get
the
devotees
to
go
on
worshiping
them.
Such
kind
of
thoughts
and
feelings
are
there
in
people’s
minds.
When
we
also
go
to
different
places
(not
that
we
are
gurus
of
everybody)
people
touch
the
feet
or
bow
down.
Other
people
don't
like
these
actions.
Even
though
nobody's
asking
people
to
prostrate,
people
question
why
do
we
bow
down
or
touch
guru’s
feet?
Prostrations
are
done
differently
at
various
places.
