Gustave the Crocodile


This is not an ordinary story. This is a story about a family that keep a crocodile named Gustave as a pet and treat it like a cat. The family lived in a small town that people around the area called it as the Dog Creek as the place is full of stray dogs that their origin is never known until this day. The stray dogs keep coming to the town although lots of them had been shot by Mr. Wallace. Mr. Wallace is a grumpy old veteran soldier that survived the Second World War. He has no family or children, only accompanied by his World War Chassepot Rifle that he named as Timmy. He really love it, every hour he will clean it enthusiastically with the most expensive velvet cloth that he bought at Caster-upon-Avon every Sunday morning. With his prowess in marksmanship and Timmy’s metal jacket, he managed to shot many stray dogs in the town every night without regret. This illegal activity somehow become his new hobby in free time.
Back to the no ordinary family with the pet Gustave, each member of the family really despise Mr. Wallace as he always hunt the dogs near to their house every night. The thundering sound of Timmy kept the family restless. The head of the family, also known as Mr. Johnson always told Mr. Wallace to slow down his activity but never cared by him even for a second. “Slow down a bit, would ya Mr. Wallace?” shouted Mr. Johnson with an angry sour face. “Never! I will not! Keep your mouth shut or I might shoot the bloody foreign crocodile!” shout Mr. Wallace with a smirk on his face. Mr. Johnson, troubled with the threat from Mr. Wallace, stood speechless at his own doorstep. He then took a deep long breath and slowly enter his house without saying a word to Mr. Wallace. He knew that man for a long time, if he keep talking back he will shoot Gustave without a single thought. He knew that it is the worst scenario he can ever imagined. “I must do something about this crazy old shooter or I will never be in peace for the rest of my life,”...
