Aloha Hawaii:
Why Hawaii is the Best

Introduction
Hawaii to most people can be considered a tropical paradise. It is hard to believe that it is a part of the United States, with such unique and beautiful landscapes combined with the cultures and traditions that reside everywhere within the islands. Thousands of tourists visit Hawaii at all times of the year and with good reason. I recently visited Hawaii and the state's foundation and culture was based on respect and hospitality. They share their tradition and culture with a passion and want everyone to take home a little bit of Hawaii with them no matter where they are from. In my opinion, I believe that Hawaii is ranked the highest in the United States because of the tropical atmosphere and the relaxed personality and vibe that the state radiates on top of the many attractions both historical and national.
Tourism Budget
The Hawaii Tourism Authority had a budget set of $71 million dollars in 2013. This included a base of $69 million and an extra $2 million to support increase visits from international markets. This budget was capped down so they could spread out funds to other government activities. Even though they had a budget of $71 million dollars, visitor expenditures totaled to $14.5 billion dollars in the same year. Hawaii is full of unique attractions that are not only naturally appealing but naturally profitable as well.
Last Year’s Tourist Report
A record of 8,174,460 visitors arrived on the shores of Hawaii in the year of 2013. This was a new record high and was 1.8% more than the previous record. It is a very impressive number, especially with Hawaii being distant and off shore and not connected to the other states. These numbers prove the high demand of visiting Hawaii.
