“Eating well on a tight budget”
"To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art.”, those are the words of La Rochefoucauld. By this simple quote it tells us that once again we have to make choices, choices about the food we consume. Nutrition is simply the science or practice of taking in and utilizing foods. Eating is a necessity and because of this everyone needs to be able to consume food. It is more difficult to do so though because of the global economic downturn that has caused prices on everything to increase drastically, including the price of food. The recession has the world in an uproar and the only advice that can be given to us is to budget and to save. First, we must keep in mind that we are only spending money on the items we really need not want. By having that in the back of our minds we should know our necessities from our wants, but to make sure you know, you should create a shopping list before going shopping. Make it your guideline and follow it, write down the things the house needs and can’t go without like breadbasket items and health care products. When you have already completed your shopping list, sum it up and round off a total cost on what you expect your bill should be, by doing this it allows you to know how much money you should carry....
