My Hometown

My lovely hometown is Westwood which is located on the western side of Los Angeles; California near Westwood Village. My town is the home of the famous University of California, Los Angeles. Anyone who visits Westwood will see attractions are Westwood village, well-known for motion picture theatres, Hammer Museum, and restaurants and shopping. I would like to call it historic old town. The people are trying to conserve their history and culture. Our neighboring residential area is Holmby Hills, which has the wealthiest residential areas.
The average population of Westwood is currently about 60,000 residents with the majority population is near the town and the neighbouring villages
I was born and brought up here by my parents who are also natives of this place. Our house is residential surrounded by other homes. There are some elementary schools and one middle school, of which I attended Fairburn Avenue Elementary School. Growing up in Westwood was fun and exciting. I had many friends whom we played different games together a lot. The leisure activities I enjoyed most are swimming, bicycle racing, football and baseball. The most exciting part of growing up in my neighborhood was a mixture of ethnicities ranging from the whites, Asians, Latinos and the African-American. Interacting with the diverse backgrounds is interesting where I was able to learn various aspects of their culture.
Living in Westwood is not in boring. Westwood is a somewhat silent place. It is much better than other neighbouring towns as it is a peaceful and beautiful city with fresh air throughout. I live quite far from the source of pollution from traffic. Fortunately, I live close to a convenient bus route that links different towns. The traffic is not at all.
Foods that are mostly available in Westwood are onions, peaches, plums, carrots and grapes. These crops grow well because of the weather situation that is about moderate to warm weather. Summer is...
