“How Well Do We Know Our Team Members?”
Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or the same way. After completing my assessments, I realized I have room for improvement. Most people can identify fault in others, but never see it in themselves. Everyone can’t take constructive criticism, also some students would rather work alone versus working in a team. Our assignment was to work in a team and compare each team member’s assessments, which is based upon “Do I Trust Others,” “How Good Are My Listening Skills” and “What’s My Jungian 16-Type Personality” (Marcic & Nutt, 2007). After reviewing each team member assessment, I found that I differ somewhat from all my team members, but we also share some striking similarities. George Evans
The most notable similarities between the four of us are those in our personality assessment. We are all people oriented and have good interpersonal skills, which make our team strong. Even though each member has a different psychological type, Jungian believed that people are innately different (Meyer-Briggs, 2009). The difference is Dominant and Auxiliary functions, two of the members are Extraverted Feeling with Introverted Sensing, the other two are Introverted Sensing, with Extroverted Feeling, and Extraverted Intuition with Introverted Feelings. Extraverted people direct their energy and attention outward and receive energy from interacting with people and from taking action. Introverted people, they direct their energy and attention inward and receive energy from reflection on their thoughts, memories, and feelings (Marcic & Nutt, 2007). The combination of each personality types has its own potential strengths, and also some blind spots.
