This letter is to inform upper management of the hiring process that will take place in order to fill twenty production line employee positions. I have reviewed all necessary local, state, federal and EEOC regulations in order to avoid any charges of illegal business practices. The following explanation is insight into the hiring process that I will follow.
Initially I will review the requirements of the job and access the qualifications that each candidate must have to be able to fully perform the tasks efficiently. The job description will be a careful analysis of the important facts about the job--such as the individual tasks involved, the methods used to complete the tasks, the purpose and responsibilities of the job, the relationship of the job to other jobs, and the qualifications needed for the job. With this, an advertisement will be sent out to local newspapers, employment websites and on the company webpage. Job fairs may be an option in searching for quality applicants and will be conducted if within the company’s budget.
Job posting will be in compliance with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, basing it solely on the specifics of the position and not based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin (US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 2009a). Interested candidates will be instructed to apply via our company website, where they will fill in general information, work and education history, complete a cognitive test, and agree to a possible background/criminal check. The cognitive test will be required in order to measure the applicant’s reasoning, memory, perceptual speed and accuracy, as well as knowledge of a production line job details.
