Emmanuel, who is a member of the HR Department at Ray’s Clothing, a small retail company. Upper management has requested him to create a new employee customer service training class for all his new employees. Developing this class, Emmanuel will need to justify the use of a needs assessment of Ray’s Clothing proposed employee customer service training stressing five ways in which the assessment would expose any existing performance deficiencies, develop a customer service training implementation plan and determine the method of training, justify why he selected this training method, propose two ways to motivate and employee who has no interest in attending a training class and develop a survey to collect feedback from the employees who attend the training. Emmanuel is expected to use quality resources to research the most efficient way to achieve a successful training class.
Needs Assessment of Ray’s Clothing
“The purpose of a training needs assessment is to identify performance requirements and the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed by an agency's workforce to achieve the requirements. An effective training needs assessment will help direct resources to areas of greatest demand. The assessment should address resources needed to fulfill organizational mission, improve productivity, and provide quality products and services. A needs assessment is the process of identifying the "gap" between performance required and current performance. When a difference exists, it explores the causes and reasons for the gap and methods for closing or eliminating the gap.
