Mark Twain, one of the greatest writers off all time wrote The novel I red Huckleberry Finn. Mark Twain November 30, 1835 in the small river town of Florida, Missouri. Twain was a mischievous child; at times he would act as if he were the character Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn. Olivia Langdon, became his wife on February 2, 1870. In 1885 after he was already very successful he wrote the book I red The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Twain died on April 23, 1910. My thoughts on the theme of this book, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn are that it is about a young boy having to me important decisions for himself. Their were many times when Huck had to make important decisions but one of the most important decisions Huck had to make in the book whether or not he should Turn his Negro friend Jim in. Further more I think the theme is survival as well. Huckleberry Finn is always on the run and he?s always making up long elaborate stories to trick people into feeling sorry for him and letting him stay with them.

Originally this book was written in 1885 so the there are some words such as ?nigger? that were very common but are not common now. This book was also written with a lot of slang ain?t, per?aps, and so?d. This book takes place on the Mississippi River. The three main characters are Huckleberry Finn, the main character of the story; Jim, a slave that accompanies Huck Finn down the Mississippi River; and Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn's best friend. Huck decides that the only way to leave it all behind with out someone coming after him is to fake you death. He takes a pig and shreds its blood about and makes it look as if Huck was axed to death. After that he takes off down stream. He had freed himself from his drunk father, and the Widow Douglas and her sister, Miss Watson and their rules. Huck stumbles across Jim, Miss Watson's slave.
