Mankind has lived in groups ever since its appearance to survive and nowadays work together to accomplish different objectives more efficiently and flawlessly. Thus, each member in a group has to have important qualities as a co-worker. Responsibility, cooperativeness and respect are the key qualities of a co-worker that improve the performance of the group.
First of all, responsibility is an important quality that co-workers should have. Each member should have their own task to complete. Otherwise, everyone could get in trouble due to one person's lack of responsibility. Moreover, one should feel responsible for what happens to the group and become involved within instead of being a free rider and doing nothing. We would be able to call people with the aforementioned qualities a good "co-worker."
Secondly, cooperation between the group members is essential. Each member actively presenting new ideas and contributing to the group will allow them to discuss and choose what is best for them. In addition, a co-worker must not act independently and work as a group. A group as a whole is larger than the sum of individuals, which is why being cooperative is an important quality of a co-worker.
Lastly, an important quality of a co-worker is having respect for other members. Respect is necessary especially when you're working with co-workers. Having good manners, harmonizing with others and paying attention to their different opinions is important for a peaceful atmosphere in the workplace. For these reasons, respect is an essential quality of a co-worker.
When working in groups, good co-workers show responsibility in their duties to produce better results and show enthusiastic attitude with cooperation. They also don’t have conflictions with other members because they respect different opinions. These are the qualities of a good co-worker.
