Inadequate Sleep can affect Your Life
In “Sleeping Your Way to the Top” Sora Song clearly explains about the causes and effects of not getting enough sleep every night. Sora says how “sleep is almost like food,” we need food to live just like we need sleep to live. Just as Song explained in her essay I also showed how not getting eight hours of sleep or more each night can cause car accidents, grades going down in classes, and sicknesses.
Driving a vehicle while sleep deprived, is sometimes compared to driving a car while intoxicated. It is very dangerous to drive when not having enough sleep because a person is not able to have the total concentration you would have with a full 8 hour night of sleep. Driving a vehicle is such a big responsibility, and it is something that you need to have full concentration on while doing. Next time you go to drive your car after only sleeping 3 hours the night before, remember that it is the same as driving after drinking.
When you start to lose hours of sleep throughout the night you will realize that, the next day while in class, you will not be able to concentrate on the lesson being taught as well as you usually would. An even worse scenario, could be trying to stay up all night to cram in a study session for a big test the next day. Even though you may have all the information needed for the test you’re not going to get as good as of a grade because of the lack of concentration or possible falling asleep while taking the test. Next time you have a big test make sure you get plenty of sleep the night before.
Not getting enough sleep is a big part of becoming sick. While sleeping your body and mind are getting the proper rest needed. You need to rest your body or it will stop going and your systems will eventually become weak and cause you to get a virus, or even worse developing a sleeping disorder. Most sleep disorders start from getting not getting enough sleep daily, and your body will be thrown off. Running...
