reflections make him realize that “it make all the difference”. The literal meaning of a metaphorical poem is the exact plot of what is written on the paper. Usually poems have underlying meanings to what’s really being written.
I think Frost used the metaphor of “roads” to describe 2 decisions that in the end “made all the difference”. Also, when he says “made all the difference”, it makes me think that this “decision” was either very important or life changing. They another party that could be friends or family and that decision 2(road 2) was more the personal desire and the one that was least expected. This situation reminds me of the feeling of being pressured by another party into doing something you aranother option that’s really one of you interests. I can relate this poem to the process that many graduates go through will choosing the university or college that they want to attend. Parents of this graduate would usually want their child to go to the school that they attended but if the child wants to study a different profession then the parent that usually means a different school. Also, if the parent does not agree with the profession, it could mean more pressure to go against their interest.
The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost is a poem written in stanza and metaphorical format. The plot of this poem is about a man who’s had a pretty average life with maybe some past hurdles like a “traveler” might but always seemed to be following one path. Suddenly, this man is faced with some very important or life changing decision. Option A: the most expected or most desired by the other party or Option B: the more personal desired choice or the choice not desired by the other party. In the end.teh man’s personal desires over take him and his final choice is option 2. Years later, his own recollections make him realize that it “made all the difference” because it had a positive.
