Jesus & Mohammad

Jesus and Mohammad are very important people to their respective religions. Jesus is a big part of the religion of Christianity and Mohammad is a big part of the religion of Islam. Both religions take their faith in their Gods very seriously. Though Jesus and Mohammad are very different, they are very important to their religious people.
Mohammad was born in 570 CE. Mohammad’s father died before he was born and when his mother and his grandmother died, Mohammad became a ward to his uncle. The Islam religion believes that their God is Allah, but Mohammad is admired by Islam’s for his character that models of the teachings in the Qur’an. When Mohammad was a young man, he managed caravans for a beautiful and wealthy woman named Khadijah. When she was forty and Mohammad was only twenty-five she offered to marry him. When Mohammad was forty he went to a spiritual retreat. An angel in human-like form, Gabriel, came to him and insisted that he recite. After this Mohammad went home and was shaken up. After three years he was instructed to preach publicly. He was ridiculed by the Qurayshites. Mohammad’s followers were even ridiculed and were told to believe in the “old gods”. Mohammad and his followers vanished for three years to isolate themselves from ridiculers. When Mohammad was fifty the worst year of his life, he lost his wife and his protective uncle. At the height of his trials he was said to ascend through the seven heavens and into the divine proximity and he received the great blessings from the divine presence. When Mohammad knew that the end was near he gave his followers his final instructions, promising to meet them at the “fountain of Paradise”. He died in 632 CE. Mohammad was said to have had a farewell sermon before he died and that he transferred his spiritual light into Fatima before he died.
