Birth Of A New Freedom
When I first saw “freedom,” I thought it means that citizens have the same rights and they are creature equally. We I listed about the Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address and the other one for Dr. Martin Luther King’s I have a dream speech, I understand more deeply about the word “ freedom.”
In the first speech, at the beginning Lincoln said about “ in the seven years ago their father brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that men are created equal.” In my own opinion, he focused on the world “liberty.” I think “ freedom” includes “ liberty.” Because at that time, Americans are engaged in a great civil war, the society is not stable. Actually, we all know in one hundred years later, the Negro still not free. The negro still not liberate.
