One man that has been the biggest influence on me and one of my main role models would be my dad. Almost everything I know I learned from him, and if I could go back I wouldn’t change one thing that has happened between us.
His name is Thomas Earl Murray II. He was born on July 17th, 1968 and is now officially 40 years old! He is a burly man, standing 6’ 5” and weighing in at a little over 300 pounds. You will come to understand throughout my essay that most likely I will not be half the man he is. He is a great man and a wonderful father and I love him very much. We have been through our bad times and of course many great times.
My dad was a mechanic for close to fifteen yrs, and now is a truck supervisor for a company called Pinnergy in Godley, Texas. My father has always had a strong will to get the job done of course, but there is also something you should know about him. It has to be done PERFECT!! My dad is very big on getting stuff done exactly to his expectations and if it isn’t done right, he will throw it away and start all over. My dad for some reason seems to be a pretty smart man. He can tell me when something is wrong with my truck, he can fix pretty much anything some way or another, and he is also a very loving father.
My dad and I haven’t always got along and of course that would make things hard on the whole family, not including me and him. There has been many fights, yelling, screaming, and occasionally someone finally just leaves but lately we have been doing pretty well and I am proud of him for that. My dad has always been a great father role model to me and my sister and I respect and thank him for that. My dad’s dad never went easy on him, so that’s why my dad and I get in fights because that’s how he was raised. It is very hard on him but we are working through things now and it seems to be going pretty well.
So there you have it. The one and only Mr. Thomas E. Murray II is by far the best father figure anyone...
