According to Aragon High School’s recent love poll, 50% of the people said they fell in love around the age of 14-18. This statistic supports the argument that Romeo and Juliet were not too young to fall in love and could have possibly been real love. However when the two were in love they did not act like their usual self. Through evidence, we can concur that love makes people act in a way they would not normally act. There are numerous texts, movies and information that support the strong argument that lovers act differently: Helen Fisher’s TED talk: The Brain in Love, Bill Meyers article: Science of Romance, the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and Disney© movies.
There are many positive effects on someone when they fall in love. When a couple walks by they seem happy; they are probably in love with each other and are enjoying each other’s company. For example, in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet becomes much happier when he falls in love with Romeo. When they both have to separate she says, “Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow (2.2199-200).Juliet means that she does not want to leave Romoe because she wants stay together. She was happy with Romeo. Before Juliet neglected the idea of marriage but after Romeo and Juliet’s first conversation she wanted him to plan a marriage right away. This happiness inside of her was so great that she was ready to do something she told everyone she did not deserve. She seemed like her world had slowed down for her love and managed between her fiancé and her family. Whenever the lovers were together they never complained because they were a bit more clam together. This supports the idea that love calms a person down and makes one happy. According to Helen Fisher, when an individual falls in love, “Cells make dopamine, a natural stimulant, and sprays it to many brain regions.
