Maintaining Military Quarters
Maintaining military quarters is very important because of many reasons. Many airmen do not see the importance but I will give you ten possible reasons why a well maintained dorm is so very important.
First of all maintaining your military quarters is important because no one wants a messy dorm. Messy dorms are a very big turn off. No one will want to hang out with you or be in your dorm. It’s also good for you. It’s easier to locate things and it’s a way better welcome home to a long day then seeing a messy room you know that you will eventually have to clean up. Cleaning up after yourself and roommates is easy. Just taking about 15 minutes a day to do a little cleaning will not hurt you and it will defiantly help you in the long run.
Second, bug infestations. No one wants to have bugs in their room. One it’s disgusting and two it’s creepy to wake up and see a bug crawling in your room. You also don’t want to go put on your boot and find a cock roach crawling out of your boot. That’s just nasty. Keeping your room clean and free of clutter with help with keeping bugs out of your room. You’ll be much happier prevent bug infestations that trying to get rid of them.
Third, room inspections. Room inspections can happy at any time whether announced or not and you don’t want to go through the pain of paperwork because of not cleaning your. It’s much easier to clean your room then have to sit down with your supervisor and go over paper work especially if you have paperwork already. Being kicked out over small infractions when it has to do with keeping your room clean is just embarrassing. You can just keep your room clean and you won’t have to worry about it. Avoiding paper work especially when it’s as easy as cleaning your room is so good. It’s good to avoid being highlighted instead of highlighting yourself over something small and stupid.
Fourth, emotions. I know it’s weird to think about...
