In my coursework I have to investigate two businesses. My first business will be on a well known business, Manchester United. My second will be a local business, Punjab Sweet House & Restaurant.
Manchester United is located in Manchester on a road called Sir Matt Busby Way. The road was named after the legendry Manchester United manger, Matt Busby. Manchester United Core activities surround football.
Punjab Sweet House & Restaurant is a restaurant which sells Asian sweets and Asian dishes and is located in Bradford, 122-126 Listerhill Road. They also have a room which they hire to people for parties, meetings etc. It is located on one of Bradford’s busiest road.

Matchday Turnover
Manchester United’s earn most of there money from season tickets on match day events. Tickets prices start from £910 and go down to £160. Last season they earned £27.8milion just by season tickets. They also earn money by there league match hospitality. In executive boxes they have there own private lounge for people to enjoy a meal. They also do this for people who do not have executive boxes but in themes like a 1968 theme and a 1980s theme. In these themes they sell food and half time coffees cup) the first round starts at a cheap price and as they progress they increase the price. You can go to the red cafe to get something to eat. In 2004 they made a profit of £11.4million by match hospitality. They also make a good profit in European games. For the next European game against Villarreal, they are selling tickets for £55. In 2004 they made a profit of £4.9 million by doing this. For the domestic cup (FA cup and Carling) they also make a good profit. From tours in there museum as in 2002 they made a profit of £4.8million. They also do well by making a profit in membership and travel as they made a profit of £3.8million and in match day catering they made a price of £3.4million.
