Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to study about how a managers behavior can impact productivity of his workers, the type of management actions that are inline/out of line with employment laws and some best practices working in a diverse environment.
Describing the types of management actions that are in line with employment laws and According to the syllabus I am supposed to do the following: Management Behavior. Imagine you are a midlevel sales manager at InterClean, Inc. with 3 first-level managers under your responsibility. In response to a merger that is about to take place with EnviroTech, you have been given the task of drafting a memo to your supervisory team on the importance of the type of behavior that managers exhibit.
The following must be summarized in the paper: 1. Explaining how a manager’s behavior can impact the productivity of his or her workers. 2. Describing the types of management actions that are in line with employment laws and those that are not. 3. Describing some best practices for working within a diverse work environment.
Manager’s behavior impacting productivity No organizations are free of issues like how to increase productivity, and maintain work place enjoyment. This article addresses the labor component of productivity and how best to motivate employees to work at high levels.
There are many factors which affect the productivity like materials quality, people skill, system & procedures, equipment & tool type, knowledge of worker, management skill, but the most important factor is attitude of superior. Appropriate leadership helps create a satisfying work environment conducive to high productivity.
Unmanaged or destructive behavior of a manager can turn the best job into a miserable one. Subordinate not only loose their productivity and creativity, sometime loose their workplace engagement as well.
