A computer Analyst is someone who designs and builds information systems. The Analyst attempts to understand the information requirements of users and how information moves thru the organization and the output produced from this information. Therefore with that in mind, three possible methods I would use to choose a possible candidate for the position of Computer Analyst in my organization would be :
- The Application Process (The Application Blank) this will ask for background information on the applicant such as their name, address, position desired, date available for work, education back ground all of which would be contented in the application letter and resume. This will also help determine whether or not the applicant meet the minimum qualification for the post , presents of job attributes and any red flag the employer should be aware of beforehand. Therefore in the case of the Computer Analysis whether the applicant have technical skills, good analytical skills and competence in information gathering techniques.
- Employment Interview which is a meeting between an applicant for employment and a company representative to determine if the candidate is qualified for a job Interviews four types of valuable information the applicant technical Knowledge about the position of Computer Analysis such as education history and work experience , self-evaluation such as the applicant likes, dislikes strengths and weakness, situational information that examines how the applicant would react in a hypothetical job-related situation and lastly the Behaviour Description Information that would tell how the applicant behaved in past situations.
