Question
The effects of profanity on young minors has never been previously studied. Therefore doing tests would lead to my goal in finding the root that leads to violence.I believe that there is too much focus on studying violence on television and the horrible effects it has on minors and not enough time put into studying profanity and the negative effects which it inflicts on minors. Therefore for this study, I am going to be studying the effects of watching two people debate.
Procedure
This study will be conducted by exposing group number one which would be thirdly adolescent children to two men arguing and debating on a previous football game. These two men would use constant profanity in describing their team winning or losing. Then after an hour these two men would ask these adolescent children questions about the football game. Test group number two would also be exposed to these two men debating on the same football game but in a kind hearted way and no profanity would be used. Then these group of children would be asked the same question which were given to group number one. Then test group number three would also be exposed to same two men but no debating, only the same questions. Obviously group number two would not be able to answer many of the questions. The answers of these three groups would be compared and studied. If my hypothesis would be correct, this experiment would revealing that the first group would use profanity to answer the questions and this would lead to arguments and violence between the youths.
