PGA VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

TRAFFIC MAIN PLATFORM TASK FORCE



Purpose: To monitor the doors, reserved seating area, aisles, or guard the stage stairs at the Main Platform sessions.



Volunteers at Main Platform Doors:

• Ensure only attendees with badges enter Main Platform
• If attendee does not have badge, direct him or her to the registration area.
• Greet attendees enthusiastically
• Ensure that attendees WALK, and DO NOT RUN to seats for Main Platform
o This is extremely important for safety and security reasons.

Volunteers in Aisles and Reserved Seating Areas:

• Ensure only attendees with badges enter Main Platform. If attendee does not have badge, direct him or her to the registration area.
• Greet attendees enthusiastically.
• Ensure that attendees WALK, and DO NOT RUN to seats for Main Platform
o This is extremely important for safety and security reasons.
• Each of the reserved seating areas will be clearly marked with a color. Attendees entitled to sit within the reserved seating section will have a sticker on his or her badge to designate which section they may sit in. Check badges of attendees approaching the reserved seating areas and direct them to the appropriate area based on the color of the dot on his or her badge.
• If an attendee does not have a reserved seating sticker on his or her badge, they must find seating within a non-reserved section.


Volunteers at Stage Steps:

• Take a comfortable, friendly stance at the base of the steps leading down from the Main Platform Stage, to secure the stage. This is most important when speakers are leaving the stage or Main Platform is ending. Attendees may want to greet the speakers coming down the steps; this is not permitted. No attendees are permitted to go onto the stage.
