Colin Farrell
Colin Farrell was born on the 31st May 1976 in Dublin His Father Eamon and Uncle Tommy Both played for Shamrock Rovers FC. He was raised Roman Catholic and has two sisters Claudine and Catherine and one brother Eamon Jr. Colin auditioned for the Irish Group Boyzone, but was unsuccessful Farrell attended The Gaiety School of Acting, but dropped out and was cast in the part of Danny Byrne on Ballykissangel, a BBC television drama. Farrell appeared on the show 7 times from 1998 to 1999.
Colin was in and out of small parts in television shows and films from 1998 – 2000. then in 2000 he was cast in the lead role of Pirate Roland Bozz in Tigerland. In 2003 he was in “Phone Booth”, “S.W.A.T.” and “The Recruit” which were well-received box office successes. Farrell is also a proven supporting actor, given his performances as an ambitious cop who chases after a potential criminal, played by actor Tom Cruise in Minority Report (2002), and as the skilled villain Bullseye in Daredevil (2003). In 2003 colin starred in the comedy Intermission as a criminal. This a very successful film which held the record as highest-grossing Irish independent film. In 2004 he starred in the well Known film “Alexander” as the lead role. As the years went on Colin was getting more and more famous he roles in Miami Vice and 2In Bruges” have given him a strong hollywood name. he has won many awards for his acting his most famous being the Golden Globe he received in January 2009 for his role in “In Bruges”.
Colin got married to English actress Amelia Warner in July 2001. the marriage only lasted 5 months where they split in November. Colin had a son in september 2003 with US model Kim Bordenave. I n 2007 colin revealed that his son James has Angelman Syndrome. Colin had a problem with drug abuse and in 2005 checked himself in to a rehabilitation treatment centre for addictions to recreational drugs and painkillers.
