My Role Model
There are many people throughout the world who have a role model or a mentor in their life. The person in my life, who is my role model, is my husband. We have been married for six years and we have two children. His name is Jimmy; he is five feet ten inches tall, brown eyes and brown hair. Jimmy is my role model because he works hard to better the life of our family, he has a great amount of emotional strength, and he motivates me to do better. I am grateful to have him as my husband. He is an inspiration in my life.
I admire Jimmy, my husband, because he works hard to better the life of our family. He works full time as a court bailiff during the day, part time as a police officer in a small town near us, and works off duty security at different places that need it. Some days, especially during the week he will go a day without sleep due to his work schedule. He does this to get our children what they need, as far as clothing, food, and any other necessities. He also uses these extra jobs for extra money to take our family out and to just have family time.
Another reason he is my role model is because he has a great amount of emotional strength. In our family’s time of need, he keeps his composure and remains strong. In any emotional situation he lets me know that everything will be okay and we will get through the hard times. He keeps a positive attitude and does not let anything upset him, regardless of the situation. I know that as long as he is around, everything will work out for the best.
My husband also motivates me to improve or to better my life. I have wanted to attend college for a while now but I was not sure if I was ready at this time in my life due to my seven month old son and my job. I know that going to school with a baby and a full time job is going to be hard, so I was planning to wait. My husband encourages me and pushes me to attend, so I did....
