My Memoir

My Memoir

25/3/2006, I can’t remember a lot of this day except for bits and pieces. I was 9 years old and in grade 4 at Doveton North Primary. The photo was taken on our last day in New Zealand (where my dad is from) before leaving for the airport to come back home. I was wearing a long-sleeved top with a cat on it and black pants. I was also sporting a dopey looking front fringe (I had it all through primary school -.-). They weren’t exactly my favourite type of clothing; my favourite top at that time was probably my monkey top.
We had a great time over in New Zealand, we would go out sightseeing and when we weren’t my sister and I would play with our cousins. A couple of days before the photo my sister had her first asthma attack, but luckily it was a mild one so all she needed was her pump. What caused it was that we were all having running races around our grandparents’ house including the neighbours also joined in. I guess she ran too much but as what all younger siblings do; they always copy every movement you do. We would play tricks on each other, go to the park and chased our grandparents’ Rottweiler around with chairs (I think she had a phobia to do with chairs ahahaha)
My parents probably thought of me as a little brat, but then again I always have been. In 2000 when we went to New Zealand I accidently spat on my cousin and my mum yelled at me for doing so. My sister, Sarah and I were really close when we were young we would do almost everything together, but now we think of each other as a ‘disease’ to one and other, we have more fights with each other. I think that she is a little annoying and she probably thinks of me in the same way. My cousins and I were really close back then. After when this photo was taken, two years later they moved to Perth and we only just recently saw them in January this year (so six years since the last time we saw them). My grandma probably still thinks that I am still a little brat but she still spoils my sister and I. in fact...
